Sr. Database Architect / Administrator / Developer

Lead a team of database administrators and developers responsible for all SQL Server database architecture, development and administration for one of the world’s largest domain registrars and hosting companies.
Manage multiple SQL2000 database servers in development and production environments with databases as large as 500GB. The environment is high volume 24x7 OLTP for both e-commerce and account management.
Develop application requirements and designs in support of quickly changing business needs.
Design and create tables, views, triggers, and stored procedures in TSQL for both SQL7 and SQL2000 in support of several dynamic, high-change-activity applications.
Architect high performance data access using ADO and XML from both presentation tier ASP and middle tier objects used in a high-concurrency Internet-based application.
Monitor SQL Server performance for excessive blocking, locking, and inefficient stored procedures and queries. Rewrite procedures and modify database schema as necessary to resolve application bottlenecks. Reduced run time and SQL Server resource requirements for some processes by more than 80%.
